The Municipality of San Miguel achieved a pivotal milestone with the formal Blessing and Inauguration of the newly constructed San Miguel Municipal Fire Station on October 22, 2025.

Dignitaries Present

The distinguished ceremony was presided over by FCSUPT Jerry D. Candido, DSC, the esteemed Regional Director of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP). He was joined by key officials, including Provincial Governor Divina Grace C. Yu, Honorable Municipal Mayor Ex D. Ocapan, and SFO2 Junidel M. Rodriguez, the Acting Municipal Fire Marshal.

This state-of-the-art facility represents a critical advancement in fortifying the municipality’s core capabilities in disaster response, public safety, and emergency preparedness. The Fire Station is positioned to be the primary hub for all life-saving operations in the area.

During the address, Governor Yu extended profound commendations to the BFP and the Local Government Unit for their unwavering dedication to safeguarding the welfare and security of all residents of San Miguel.

Mayor Ocapan, in his address, conveyed sincere gratitude to the Provincial Government of Zamboanga del Sur and the BFP Regional Office for their sustained support and collaborative partnership, which were instrumental in the successful realization of this vital infrastructure project.
