Mission, Goals and Objectives; Strategies

To achieve the vision, the Local Government Unit of San Miguel with strong partnership with the private sector shall adhere to and pursue

the following mission:

• The people of San Miguel shall live in a peaceful, orderly community with  greater  access to basic education, health care, nutrition, potable water and decent housing;
• Timely, integrated, high quality, safe and efficient infrastructure services and facilities to catalyze the economic growth of the municipality;
• Modernization of  organic agricultural  production through improvement of  key production areas connectivity, accessibility and viability of rural infrastructure system, including agricultural logistics and various facilities;
• Resilient, safe and green  communities by enhancing  environmental management and  protection of natural resources to protect the livelihoods and health of the people;
• Improvement of the competitiveness of the local commerce, trade and  industry through improving  business and investment enabling environment, facilitating access to financial services, instituting regulatory reforms, adopting technological innovation, enhancing capacities and competencies and improving productivity and efficiency;
• Full participation of citizens and professional public servants in decision making process with greater transparency and accountability in all government operations, transactions and implementation.
• Improved the production area that covers 3,065.71 hectares not only for production of annual agricultural crops, timber, fuelwood, charcoal but intensify agroforestry approach using high valued crops like rubber, fruit trees, coffee and cacao as well as vegetables.
