In accordance with Department of Finance (DOF) Department Order No. 074-2024, the Municipality of San Miguel, Zamboanga del Sur, is pleased to announce its reclassification as a third-class municipality, effective January 2025. This significant milestone, achieved through consistent growth and development since its 1995 designation as a fourth-class municipality, reflects the dedication of the municipality to progress. The Municipal Government is committed to utilizing the increased resources and capabilities associated with this new status to further enhance public services and improve the quality of life for all residents.
